How to Love Myself (When I Don’t Feel Worthy)

How to Love Myself (When I Don’t Feel Worthy)

“How do I love myself… when I don’t even like who I’ve become?”

If you’ve ever asked that question in the quiet of your heart, you’re not alone. I personally suffered through not loving myself for decades...yes, decades.

Maybe you’ve been overlooked. Maybe you've made mistakes. Maybe the voice in your head is louder than the ones cheering for you.

But here’s the truth:
Self-love isn’t a destination.
It’s a quiet return to the truth that you were never unlovable to begin with.

💛 Start Here: 3 Gentle Steps to Begin Loving Yourself

1. Speak to yourself like someone you love.

You wouldn’t call a friend “a failure” for having a bad day. So why do it to yourself? When you catch yourself in self-criticism, pause and say:
“That was hard, but I’m still here. I’m doing my best.”

2. Stop waiting to be perfect.

You don’t have to earn your worth by achieving more, looking better, or being liked. Worthiness is your birthright. Right now. As-is.

3. Reconnect with who you were before the world told you who to be.

What did you love before comparison crept in? Before shame silenced your spark? Return to that. Write about it. Walk toward it.

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

Self-love is not about fixing who you are. It’s about unfolding—becoming soft enough to feel, brave enough to try, and tender enough to begin again.

You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
